When your country is having winter, you will naturally be inclined to going on vacation on a tropical beach. There, you can bask under the sun and enjoy the warm sand. It is completely different than staying at home in the winter and experiencing flu. The following is the 5 best tropical beach vacations.

  • Colombier Beach

Colombier Beach is one of the best tropical vacation spots for tourists who enjoy hiking in St. Barthelemy. The beach can arrive via a hiking trail. Along the way, you will see a lot of turtles, iguanas, and goats. There are no amenities around so you have to bring your sunscreen, water, and walking shoes. The hiking trail is slippery with a lot of leaves and gravel. The hike is even more difficult when you climb back up to the trail after visiting the beach. Once you arrive at the beach, you will get to see the sapphire hued water. Usually, there will be several sailboats that are moored in the waters.

  • Tahiti Beach

Tahiti Beach is a beautiful sand bar with turquoise water and swaying palm trees. The water in the northwest is shallower compared to the southeast. The sand bar goes a long way and is great for taking a stroll in the sunset. Locals are selling some refreshments on their food trucks on the beach. Some of the activities you can do are collect sea glass, picnic, and snorkelling. You can rent a boat to explore the surrounding of the islands. It is not a crowded beach and you will find only a few people sometimes. In the afternoon, you can expect more people to arrive by boats.

  • Sosúa Beach

Sosúa Beach is a public beach that is big enough to accommodate several hundreds of tourists in the Dominican Republic. There are many vendors and hawkers where you can buy food. Coconut water is available at the beach. Most of the shops will close down at 7 pm. It has a 100m reef for experienced snorkelers to explore the underwater creatures. There are rental shops on higher ground where you can get your diving and snorkelling accessories. If you want to go snorkelling, you should visit the beach during weekdays as it will be less crowded.

  • Railay Beach

Railay Beach is a long sandy beach with a mountain backdrop. The beach has limestone cliffs and caves as a backdrop. You will encounter many monkeys while on this island. When the tide is low, you can walk to the climbing rock. It takes about 30 minutes to hike the jungle trail to the beach. You can also take 15 minutes boat ride from Aonang Beach to arrive at Railay Beach. There is a plastic pier where you can sit to watch the ocean scenery. Nearby, you will find a lot of expensive hotels.

  • Playa Carillo

Playa Carillo is a long light color sandy beach that is lined with palm trees on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. The beach is less developed with only a few buildings. There are plenty of parking and picnic tables. The bay has small waves as it is protected by rocky headlands which makes it an ideal beach vacation spot for families with young children. There are plenty of activities you can enjoy at Playa Carillo including coral reef, water skiing, and windsurfing. There are tide pools to explore at high tide.
